Founder, Jasmine Simone, is a true Wild Woman, a herbalist, sustainability advocate, and creative professional, with a deep love and respect for plants and a reverence for the spiritual essence within all living beings. Her journey began years ago when she discovered the healing benefits of herbal remedies to heal her body and mind, inspiring her to deepen her study of Western Herbalism and create Wild Woman.
With her Awaken & Activate Herbal Ritual Kits, she has curated a unique line of handcrafted herbal products that support holistic well-being, honoring the seasons and astrological events. Our Story
the Wisdom of Our Ancestors
Jasmine’s grandmother was an early and powerful influence on her relationship with plants and the natural world. Her grandmother’s deep understanding of the healing properties of plants and whole foods instilled in Jasmine a curiosity that would guide her journey towards healing and wellness. Through her grandmother’s teachings, Jasmine learned to identify plants by their appearance, and she was captivated by the incredible ways in which they supported the body and mind. Her grandmother would often tell stories of her own father’s garden in Biloxi, Mississippi, and his use of certain plants to to support wellness and vitality. These early teachings and connections to plants, passed down through generations, laid the foundation for Jasmine’s lifelong passion for herbalism and the wisdom of traditional knowledge.
A Journey of Self-Discovery
Years later, Jasmine encountered hormonal health challenges, periods of intense depression, and the complex condition of PCOS, she found that the Western medical system and pharmaceutical industry were unable to provide the holistic healing she needed. Seeking guidance, she remembered the whisperings of her ancestors’ teachings and the potential of plants to bring balance back into her life.
She turned to the restorative properties of plants to support her on this journey, exploring the vast knowledge of herbal remedies and ancient healing practices. Through her own experimentation and research, she discovered the transformative power of botanical medicine and embarked on a path of self-discovery and stability.
